EGGS they are here!!!

The time has come....Daisy and Blondie are both laying eggs and they taste delicious. Daisy (white one) started about two weeks ago and Blondie about a week ago. Funnily enough the white chick lays the darker eggs and the darker chick lays lighter coloured eggs.

There's something special about cooking freshly laid eggs while they are still warm. 

Winter is a period chickens lay the least amount of eggs and we are finding they are both laying around 4 to 5 times a week which is better than we had expected. Very soon when the two black ones (B1 and B2) start laying we should have a decent amount of fresh eggs coming our way (I actually can't tell the difference between the 2 black ladies).
